A timely conversation in Traverse City Thursday on U.S. relations with Moscow. The International Affairs Forum lecture series at Northwestern Michigan College kicks off its 20th Anniversary season with John Beyrle, who served as ambassador to Russia from 2008 to 2012.

Russia: Partner or Adversary? Beyrle says it's a complex relationship that the U.S. has an obligation to try to keep healthy. He says, despite tensions over Syria, the two countries are working together well on issues of trade, Afghanistan and nuclear disarmament.
