Dark Sky Park: The Moon Moves Between Pleiades And Hyades

On this edition of "The Storyteller's Guide to the Night Sky," Dark Sky Park director Mary Stewart Adams discusses the moon moving between the star clusters Pleiades and Hyades. In ancient times it was said this event brought about heavy rains. The mythical Hyas, son of Atlas, is associated with this celestial event. Upon Hyas' death he was placed in the sky as Aquarius.
