2018 World Youth Symphony Orchestra - Live on Classical IPR!

An Evening with the World Youth Symphony Orchestra begins Sunday, July 1 at 7 p.m.. Ahead of the live concert at 8 p.m., experience an hour of treasures from the Interlochen archives, a conversation with the conductor, and more.

This week in the 7 o’clock hour, conductor Michael Francis recounts the outrageous story of Symphonie Fantastique by Hector Berlioz. That work follows in the 8 o’clock hour during the World Youth Symphony Orchestra’s season opening concert. Also on the program are Britten's Fanfare for St. Edmundsbury and Beethoven's Romance No. 2 with violin soloist Martin Chalifour.
