Our conversation with Christine Sauvé. She's the Senior Program Coordinator for Welcoming Michigan.

As Michigan kids get settled into this new school year, there's one group that can use some extra support: children who are immigrants or refugees.

ChristineSauvé works for Welcoming Michigan, the integration initiative at the Michigan Immigrant Rights Center.

Lately they’ve been using a new approach to integrating immigrants, focusing their efforts on what U.S.-born Americans think about immigrants coming in.
