The TCFF recently launched its Student U program, which gives free movie tickets to high school and college students.

Students will be able to watch films for free at this year’s Traverse City Film Festival. The festival recently announced the launch of it’s TCFF Student U program, which offers 10 tickets to each accepted high school and college students.

“You don’t have to be studying film," says TCFF Creative Director Meg Weichman. “We’re just looking for eager young minds looking to experience movies.”

Weichman says students can also use their tickets to get into the festival’s film school classes.

Applications for the TCFF Student U program must be completed before July 13. The Traverse City Film Festival runs from July 31 through August 5 and has over 100 feature films in its 2018 lineup.
