Northern Michigan Book Named To 2011 List Of Michigan Notables

<p><em><a href="mailto:aspeybw@interlochen.org">By Brad Aspey</a></em></p> <p>Northern Michigan author Michael Erlewine has his work listed among the 2011 list of Michigan Notable Books. The Library of Michigan announced the winners today.</p> <p>Erlewine's book, <em>Blues in Black & White: The Landmark Ann Arbor Blues Festivals</em>, features black and white photography of the late Stanley Livingston. It tells the story of the first Ann Arbor Blues Festivals, which introduced thousands of people to electric Chicago blues. </p> <p>Michael Erlewine recently talked about the book on IPR's <a href="http://ipr.interlochen.org/points-north-live/episode/11178" target="_self">Points North ARTFORMS.</a></p> <p><em>A complete list of winners is <a href="http://www.michigan.gov/mde/0,1607,7-140-54574_39583-248258--,00.html" target="_blank">here.</a></em></p>
