Kids Commute - Haydn Week! Tuesday

"The Dancing Bear," painting by William Frederick Witherington. Interlochen Public Radio - classical music for kids!

Welcome to Day Two of HAYDN WEEK on IPR's Kids Commute!

This week, we're listening to the work of Franz Josef Haydn, known as, "Papa," to his admirers.

Today, we'll hear the Fourth Movement from Haydn's Symphony No. 82, known as, "The Bear," because it sounds like the music that used to play for dancing bears in the street. (There were dancing bears in the streets!!!)

Tuesday, May 8, 2018 (Ep. 151)
Symphony No. 82, The Bear, 4th Movement
