Kids Commute - Don Quixote Week! Monday

Kids Commute Episode 50 - Don Quixote Week! "The Knight of Sorrowful Countenance." - Interlochen Public Radio - Classical Music for Kids!
Gustave Dore: "A World of Disorderly Notions, Picked Out of His Books."

Welcome to Don Quixote Week on IPR's Kids Commute - classical music for kids!

This week, our music will be all about Don Quixote, a crazy, but well-intentioned old gentleman who wishes he were a hero. He's a character from a novel written in Spain in the year 1615 by the author Miguel de Cervantes.

Almost three hundred years after de Cervantes wrote the book, a lot of its stories were set to music in a tone poem by German composer Richard Strauss.

Today, we'll meet the star of our week, Don Quixote himself.

Monday, November 13, 2017 (Ep. 50)
