IPR reporter Morgan Springer and Executive Director Peter Payette were recognized Saturday at the annual Public Radio News Directors, Inc. (PRNDI) awards banquet in Miami, Fla.
Springer won first place in the category "Short Documentary" for her story “Grandmother’s Letter from the Holocaust,” which tells the story of a Jewish family who escaped the Holocaust and settled in Traverse City.
Payette won first place in the "Sports Feature" category for “TC hockey strikes back at parent-driven sports culture,” which looks at a paradigm shift in the way young hockey players are trained in the sport.
