IPR Wins Broadcast Awards

<p>This week, Interlochen Public Radio took home four awards for Broadcast Excellence by the Michigan Association of Broadcasters. The awards were judged by our peers in Wisconsin. </p> <p><a href="http://ipr.interlochen.org/program/schools-wrestle-cuts" target="_self"><strong>Best Mini-Documentary or Series: Schools Wrestle Cuts</strong><br /></a>Schools in Michigan have been scaling back budgets for years now, as the rocky economy has chipped away at the state budget. It's meant layoffs, and larger class sizes. But in turmoil, schools have also gotten creative. At this time last year, the series examined how area schools had handled past cuts, and what decisions they were wrestling with for cuts on the way.
